Fiori di Meliga
Biscuits made of wholemeal corn flour, Demerara sugar and a precious touch of honey
Biscuits made of wholemeal corn flour, Demerara sugar and a touch of precious honey.
Delicious biscuits originating from the area of Cuneo, Mondovi and the Ligurian Apennine, prepared with corn flour, which in Piedmontese dialect is called melia or meling, wheat flour, Demerara sugar, eggs and honey.
The crumbliness of this refined biscuit derives from the very fine grinding of corn flour, just like in the ancient recipe. Excellent at the end of a meal accompanied by a sweet wine or with zabaione.
