The most traditional of all homemade desserts

The best known dessert which carries the name of Queen Margherita.

The package also contains a sachet of icing sugar to garnish the soft delicious cake.

Mix for Margherita cake



What to add

125 g butter
3 medium sized eggs
100 g (=155 ml) milk.

Remove the ingredients from the fridge ½ hour before use.

Preparation:

Pour the mix of the large sachet into a bowl and add the softened butter, eggs and milk. Mix the ingredients for a few minutes with an electric mixer to obtain smooth even dough. Mix with an electric mixer with whisks at maximum speed for two minutes.


Cooking:

Grease and flour a Ø 22-24 cm. cake tin and, pour the dough inside and level it out. Bake in a preheated oven at 170°C for 40-50 minutes.

Remove the cake from the oven and rest for at least 15 minutes.

Finish:

Remove it from the mould with the aid of a knife and cool on a plate.

Sprinkle the top with the icing sugar contained in the small sachet and serve.
